Updates to SB 658, prohibits mask mandates, unless there is a declared state of emergency declared by the Governor, prohibits any educational institution in Oklahoma from requiring a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccine passport for enrollment or attendance, and prohibits mask mandates specifically for unvaccinated students. Schools are required to post vaccine options for parents on their websites.

Type 1 Diabetes can develop at any age. Talk with a clinician to determine if you or someone in your family is at high risk for Type 1 Diabetes.

School immunization laws are among the most effective measures for preventing disease outbreaks. Prior to the availability of vaccines, diseases like diphtheria, polio, and measles were prevalent in schools, where they were easily transmitted. Thanks to the implementation of these laws, these diseases have nearly disappeared from the United States. By continuing to vaccinate our children, we can anticipate a future free from these once-devastating diseases.
